Salam alikom!
My name is Rabia, and I am the director of a nonprofit called "The Roshni Centre for Women" this centre is located in rural Pakistan. Although the women's centre is in Pakistan, the fund-raising arm is here in Humboldt County. We are a registered 501 (c) (3). We are always on the look out for people who are interested in women, and how they can make a difference in the lives of women in rural Pakistan. No one can choose where they are to be born, yet we can make choices on what we do with our lives, at least to some extent. The women in rural Pakistan struggle to provide a safe and caring home for their families, and usually can not do this without help. So we on the U.S. side of the Roshni Centre want to help them to make a positive difference.
We will be having a "Power Tea" on Saturday, March 22nd at 3 pm for people who desire to help us to make this difference. For information contact me Rabia at (707) 826-7123.
